Using paraffin wax and microcrystalline wax as raw materials, oxidized wax was prepared by catalytic oxidation reaction. Its quality and performance were similar to those of natural carnauba wax. Under the action of surfactant, oxidized wax was used as raw material, water as solvent, and emulsified wax for leather polishing and decontamination was prepared through emulsification reaction. At the same time, the effects of emulsifier type, dosage, mixing speed, emulsification time and temperature on the stability of emulsified wax were investigated.

The research results show that when the mass ratio of oxidized wax, emulsifier and co emulsifier is 1 ∶ 0.3 ∶ 0.0002, the emulsification time is 20 min, the stirring speed is 500~1000 r/min, and the emulsification temperature is 85~90 ℃, the coating uniformity of emulsified wax products for leather is lower than that of natural carnauba wax.
